I want you to know that just as everyone here said : this runs small. However, this dress has stretch, so I was able to zip it up. It was tight and I think because it was so tight the way it skimmed over my belly (after 3 kids) was not very flattering. It basically folded under my small belly pooch.... Otherwise it looked great and really slimming. Perhaps a size larger would have been better. For reference, I usually fit in 4 or Small size due to slim waist. Things have to be stretchy. I am 5'3 and 145 pounds, 34DD . I bought size 4 in this dress and boy it was tight!
This would have been a gorgeous dress if it fit. I concur with most of the other reviews, it is sized wrong. It is way too small. I am 5't" 138 lbs 34 DD bust and I couldn't zip it up without some major struggling. Once it was zipped up I felt like I was in a corset from the late 1800's. Even the ar...mholes were small. It said size 8 but fit more like a 4/6 with stretch. Too bad it was very nice looking.

This may actually be the perfect dress. The vertical seams are flattering and lengthening, structured but with enough stretch to be super comfortable.

Based on the other reviews, I went up one size. It fits perfectly and the material is substantial yet with some stretch. I really hesitated buying after reading other reviews, but now I'm really glad i ordered it! It's very flattering and subtly sexy.

Comments about GapStudio Seamed Denim Midi Dress
I had hoped the denim midi dress would look great but sadly it did not on me. After reading the reviews on the dress, I sized up and even though the body of the dress fit, the neckline and arms had too much room. The area did not lay nicely. The denim material was also pretty thick and with the stitching design, you had to constantly smooth out the material. I returned the dress.

I usually wear a 6 and could barely zip it. An 8 worked much better. Stretchy dress. Really nice looking.

As I'm between sizes, I sized up to an 8. (I'm 5-5, 142lbs, 34D.) The dress fits like a dream, very flattering and can walk around with ease. My only comment is that zipping on your own takes a min - wish it had a string but I'll add. Also, while it's a bit pricier, you can see the work involved with multiple strips of fabric and seams. Impressed and in love.

Form-fitting and very flattering dress. The material has some give and is not too restrictive. It is perfectly tailored. I love that it is not a mini dress. This is a timeless classic.

Comments about GapStudio Seamed Denim Midi Dress
Design is beautiful and quality is great, but the sizing is about THREE SIZES TOO SMALL! GAP should work with their guest designers to ensure that sizing is aligned with typical GAP clothing sizes; otherwise, customers are thrown off. There was absolutely no indication that the sizing would be so far off from GAP's usual sizing. I am EXTREMELY disappointed, because I REALLY wanted this dress, but now all of the larger sizes are sold out. I typically wear a XS/S Petite or 4-6 Petite in GAP, and I purchased the Size 6 Regular, because there were no Petite sizes. While the fabric has some stretch, I couldn't get the zipper past my chest. I believe a Size 10 would have fit, but sadly the size is out of stock.
